In his recent Back to School address to the nation, Minister for Education Honorable Shawn Edward confirmed that “Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre presented every private preschool with a cheque of $2500”. He cited that “the Prime Minister also promised approximately $150,000.00 this term to support parents of early learners.”
Support for Families
This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on families, particularly those on tight budgets. The government’s contribution will help offset costs at privately-owned preschools.

With the government’s estimated $150,000 now allocated for this program, it continues its commitment to providing access to quality Early Childhood Education services for Saint Lucia’s youngest learners.
