On Tuesday March 2022, Hon. Kenson Casimir, Parliamentary Representative for Gros Islet announced the return of the long awaited Gros Islet Friday night street party!
“Tonight, I met with 40 members of the Gros Islet Vendors’ Association for discussion on the return of Gros Islet Friday Night!
I am happy to announce that we have collectively decided that the return of the biggest street party in Saint Lucia is slated for Friday April 29th 2022.”
He continued, ”I am very excited about the return of this long awaited economic activity and look forward to celebrating with you the people of Gros Islet.”
Since early 2020, Hon. Casimir has successfully executed two Virtual Friday Night fundraising events to assist the impacted vendors and students who needed devices for online school.
The Gros Islet Friday Night street party has always been a ”must do” for every traveller who visits the island and with travel resuming to near normalcy, we anticipate much needed relief for those who have been impacted by the pause of this event.
