On Monday May 15th, 2023 emergency personnel responded to a distress call at about 6:45 pm.
It was reported that a robbery had taken place in Morne Fortune, Castries in which a cellular device and cash were stolen.
On Tuesday May 16th, 2023 officers received a report of an assault with a firearm at about 12:55 am.
Eighteen-year-old Mickeil Dubois of Pavee, Castries was later apprehended on Lewis Street, Castries where officers recovered one Smith and Wesson firearm, one magazine and one cellular phone.
Whilst processing the suspect it was revealed that the cellular phone recovered belonged to the victim of the Robbery at Morne Fortune, Castries on Monday May 15, 2023.
Mickeil Dubois appeared before the first district court on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 and was granted bail in the sum of $15,000 cash or suitable surety for the offense of Possession of a Firearm and for the offense of assault the sum of $1000.
