British Airways Launches Twice-Weekly Flights to Guyana via Saint Lucia

British Airways has officially launched twice-weekly flights to Guyana via Saint Lucia. 

The new service from London Gatwick is the only nonstop flight between Guyana and the UK via Saint Lucia. 

The airline’s Boeing 777-200ER aircraft can accommodate up to 332 passengers.

On March 27th, 2023 an inaugural ceremony was held in Guyana, in which a twenty-three-member delegation led by Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire was in attendance.  

The minister says the flight will be very beneficial to the country as it helps build a bond with Guyana and welcomes new visitors to the island. 

“This flight between Saint Lucia and Guyana would help a lot in building that bond, that Caribbean unity, that Caribbean togetherness it will also help us as we welcome visitors from Guyana.” he says. 

Minister for Tourism, Industry and Commerce in Guyana Hon. Oneidge Walrond was in attendance at the delegation in Saint Lucia celebrating the important milestone for both countries with the cutting of the ribbon. 

The airline will fly from London Gatwick Airport to Guyana twice weekly on Mondays & Thursdays.
