After completing protocols, LIAT 2020 secured its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and resumed flights in early August 2024. The first direct flight from Saint Lucia landed at CV Bird International Airport, marking with Prime Minister Gaston Browne and officials attending the launch.

Prime Minister Browne praised the airline emphasizing for promoting regional unity with its Caribbean services. LIAT 2020 plans to expand to more Caribbean destinations and grow its North American market.

The airline also announced its flight schedule, including routes from Antigua, Barbados, and Saint Lucia. Return flights will run from Antigua to Saint Lucia, then Saint Lucia to Barbados, with varying departure and arrival times for aircraft 301 and 302.

In his address at Press Briefing on Monday, Minister for Tourism Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire cited a vested interest in inter-regional travel. He noted that despite regional service challenges, he wanted Caribbean numbers to grow.
