Former Soufriere MP Herod Stanislas says he is delighted with the return of Soufriere Jazz as it is a possible boost of economic activity in the constituency however, he says one day is not enough.
“Anything that is going to help the people of Soufriere I am here for it, it will surely help some of the small businesses in Soufriere, the small restaurants, and bars. We have quite a few Airbnb units in Soufriere they will surely benefit from that weekend.” he says.
However, the former MP says the one-day activity is not sufficient and that there is so much more that can be done.
“One day activity is not sufficient, there are so many other things.. events, activities that can be planned.. a calendar of activities year round that could boost the small business and so on in Soufriere.” he continued.
The newly rebranded Soufriere Jazz The Experience formerly known as Soufriere Creole Jazz returns in May 2023 after a seven-year hiatus.
