Armed Robbery at 1st National Bank, Choc

Armed bandits robbed 1st National Bank in Choc on Wednesday after forcing three employees back to the bank.

The incident began around 5p.m. on Calvary Road. The vehicle carrying employees slowed due to a smoking car in front of them when the assailants struck. The bandits forced their way into the vehicle and ordered the employees to drive back to the bank.

At the bank, the robbers used the employees to access cash from an ATM and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police, including heavily armed SSU officers from Castries, responded to the scene, but the suspects had already escaped. No arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.
