SLTA Participates in Airline Leadership Summit

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) participated in the CAPA Centre for Aviation Airline Leadership Summit, focusing on Latin America and the Caribbean, from August 22-23 in Trinidad.

Mario Reyes, Chairman of the Airlift Committee, and Christopher Gustave, Marketing Manager for the Caribbean Region, represented Saint Lucia.

Latin America and the Caribbean are among the fastest-growing aviation markets, but growth is mostly concentrated in inter-continental and domestic sectors. The summit addressed challenges from varying regulatory standards, competitive practices and aviation policies.

Moreover, discussions centered on strategies to enhance regional connectivity amid diverse approaches and shifting government policies. These discussions aim to promote cohesive and efficient aviation development in the region.

Key topics included customer-focused retail technology, the future of Caribbean travel and tourism, and accelerating sustainable energy transitions in aviation.
