Emergency personnel responded to a call for assistance at about 1:47 pm on Saturday 27th May, 2023.
It was reported one male had been shot at Riverside Road.
The male who was said to be in his forties was rushed to the Owen King EU Hospital via ambulance where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
The male sustained gunshot injuries to the abdomen, back, shoulder and leg.
A suspect has been arrested in connection to the shooting.
