UPDATE
The juvenile was taken before the First District court on Friday, April 5, 2023 for the purpose of a bail hearing. He was bailed in the sum of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars cash or suitable surety for the offence of Possession of a Firearm and five thousand ($5000.00) dollars cash or suitable surety for the offence of Possession of Ammunition and other court conditions.
Original Story
On Thursday, May 4, 2023, at about 9:00 a.m. Officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, Major Crimes Unit, Bicycle Unit and Writ Department conducted a Police operation in the community of Forestierre, Castries.
During the search, on the premises of a juvenile at Forestierre, Castries, Officers recovered one (1) pump action shotgun and two (2) rounds of 12-gauge Ammunition. Also recovered during the search were, two (2) 7.62, two (2) 9mm and one (1) .357 spent shells. The juvenile was charged with the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition. He will be taken to court for the purposes of a bail hearing.
Officers also arrested Kareem Louis at Forestierre, Castries, on an Outstanding Bench Warrant from the High Court having absconded for an Indictable Offence.
