Regional Security Chiefs Makes A Visit To Their Deployed Officers

Following a crime surge in Saint Lucia, Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre signed documents that designated Vieux Fort South as an escalated crime zone.

Since then the government has taken extreme measures in efforts to de-escalate the crime situation.

One of these measures being the Regional Security System (RSS) being deployed to assist the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF).

On Tuesday 25th April, 2023 the security chiefs from the Royal Police Force and the Defense Force of Antigua and Barbuda, the Police Force and Defense Force of Barbados and the Royal St. Vincent and The Grenadines Police Force made a visit to their officers that had been deployed to Saint Lucia in efforts to assist with the crime escalation in Vieux Fort.

The chiefs met with Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre, the Commissioner for the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, Mrs. Crusita Descartes-Peluis and the members of her executives for a briefing.
