On Sunday April 16th, 2023 officers attached to the Anse La Raye Police Station received an emergency call at approximately 1:00 pm.
It was reported that a suspected drowning had occurred at Roseau Beach.
The victim was identified as eighteen-year-old Kess Ovon George of Barre St. Joseph, Castries.
George was transported to the Owen King European Union Hospital via ambulance. Where he was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
A post mortem examination is scheduled for a subsequent date.
Police is currently investigating the incident.
