Former Tourism Minister Dominic Fedee says he’s disappointed with the current marketing of the Jazz and Arts Festival which was previously halted under the Chastanet Administration of which Fedee was a part of.
“I’m disappointed in the marketing of our destination generally to promote us as a tourism destination, I’m very disappointed at that lack of visibility that we continue to experience.” he told reporters.
Fedee says that the event is a ‘cash cow’ with a large budget.
“I’ll tell you this there are a lot of people in that sector reports are far and wide that this is their cash cow.” he says.
However, despite criticism from the opposition current Minister for Tourism Ernest Hilaire says The Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts festival returns in May 2023 with expectations of being bigger and better.
