Dezral Long is Saint Lucia’s latest CARICOM Youth Ambassador!
At a sitting of Parliament earlier this morning, Tuesday July 12th, Minister for Youth Development and Sports, Hon. Kenson Casimir announced that the island’s latest Calypso Monarch, Dezral Long will be appointed as Saint Lucia’s newest CARICOM Youth Ambassador.
Dezral Long, his father former Calypso King, Desmond “Pep” Long and writer, former Principal of the Saint Mary’s College, Rowan Seon, were all present during the sitting of Parliament to witness the announcement.
Dezral, age 22, makes history as Saint Lucia’s youngest Calypso King. The Minister for Youth also announced that the young calypsonian was been gifted a trip to the mecca of calypso, Trinidad, to witness firsthand, their calypso finals event.
