During the sitting of the House of Assembly on April 29th, the Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Allen Chastanet forfeited his opportunity to speak on the Budget debate for 2022-2023.
The Speaker, Hon. Claudius Francis stated that when he looked around the room, only the Prime Minister had his light on.
Last month, Hon. Chastanet also refused to speak on the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure after demanding to speak right before the Prime Minister. Hon. Chastanet was nowhere to be found when the opportunity came for him to speak. He later commented that he left the Parliament building for lunch.
