According to a Royal Saint Lucia Police Force bulletin update, a male suspect was apprehended by an off-duty police officer after a vicious January 31st chopping at Industry, Choiseul which left four injured and at hospital.
A five-year-old boy was among the victims, alongside a 62-year-old male and two females, ages 54 and 18.
Emergency responders attended to the scene at approximately 10pm and conveyed the victims to hospital.
Choiseul-Saltibus MP, Bradley Felix, expressed concern over the incident while speaking to reporters over the weekend, adding that he is relieved that the perpetrator was caught: āI am happy that the perpetrator has been caught, and it is a matter now of the family receiving psychological assistance,ā he said.
The RSLPF has not yet announced charges to be lain against the suspect.
