Police Make Arrest in Hank Monrose Shooting Death

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force on January 28th, conducted an operation which led to the arrest of 48-year-old Imran Henry of Lenny’s Hill, Soufriere. According to Superintendent, Albert Charlery, this arrest was made in connection with the January 19th shooting death of 27-year-old Hank Monrose, also of Lenny’s Hill, Soufriere.

On Tuesday the 28th of January 2025, 48-year-old Emron Henry, alias Lawoz, or Roses of Lenny’s Hill Soufriere, was charged for causing the death of Hank Monrose, which occurred on Sunday the 19th of January 2025. On Wednesday the 29th of January 2025, he made a court appearance and was remanded in custody at the Bordelais Correctional Facility until 27 February 2025,” explained Superintendent Charlery.

Since the incident, Charlery says police have increased their presence in the Soufriere area to ensure law and order prevail. The operations included traffic checks, house searches, and mobile and foot patrols. The police superintendent notes that significant discoveries were made during these operations.

During the execution of the operations, the following were registered. On Monday 27th January 2025, acting on information received, officers attached to the drug unit seized a pistol. Later that day, about 4.45pm, a combined effort by officers attached to the drug unit and special services unit resulted in the arrest of four individuals,” he disclosed.

According to Charlery, the four individuals driving in a grey Volkswagen, registration number 3758. After a comprehensive search of the vehicle was conducted, one AR-15 rifle was discovered. The four individuals were all charged with the offense of possession of a restricted weapon. The four have been remanded in custody at the Bordelais Correctional Facility and are expected to reappear in court on the 27th of February, 2025.

Officers also have one man in custody in relation to a January 22nd shooting incident which left two men nursing injuries about their bodies. “Investigations have progressed to the extent that one person is in custody assisting the police,” disclosed Charlery.
