Twenty-seven-year-old (27) Stephan Eudovique, also known as “Tall Boy,” of La Croix Maingot, Marigot, was fatally shot during a robbery at New Development, Belair, on Tuesday, 10th December 2024.
On Wednesday, 22nd January 2024, this operation led to the arrests of twenty-four-year-old (24) Thankson Alfred, also known as “Pason,” and twenty-seven-year-old (27) Karan Emmason Emmanuel, also known as “Baige,” both of New Development, Belair.
On Monday, 27th January 2025, officers of the Major Crimes Unit formally cautioned and charged Thankson Alfred and Karan Emmason Emmanuel with the murder of Stephan Eudovique. They were brought before the First District Court for a bail hearing, where they were remanded in custody pending further deliberations in their prosecution.
Eudovique suffered a gunshot wound to his right thigh, which ultimately proved fatal. A post-mortem examination carried out on Thursday, 12th December 2024, confirmed this finding.
ASP in Charge of the Criminal Investigations Department, Annantha Wilson, commended the investigators who worked to ensure justice is served for the family of the deceased.
“Though proceedings are still in their early stages, the dedication and perseverance of the officers involved in this investigation are commendable, as are the members of the public who contributed to this positive outcome. While you may not be named individually, your efforts are acknowledged and sincerely appreciated,” she explained in an address on Wednesday.
ASP Wilson also encouraged citizens to assist officers in their investigations to ensure peace and order prevail in Saint Lucia: “The fight against crime is a shared responsibility, we are all stakeholders, therefore, you, the people we serve are our partners. You’re urged to continue supporting the efforts of the RSLPF as we endeavour to make Saint Lucia a safe place for all people.”
