One male identified as Joharius Johannes alias ‘Joe Grind/Junior Dorville’ of Odsan/Morne D’OR escaped police custody on Wednesday, June 14th 2023.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) executed a search warrant on the premises of Joharius Johannes. Although nothing of evidential value was found he was arrested in relation to a report of assault with a firearm and a RED NOTICE from The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) in regard to the offense of murder in Martinique.
Johannes was escorted to the First District Court where he was remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
He was said to have escaped custody at the Babonneau Police Station after attending court via Zoom.
The RSLPF says he was pursued but was not recaptured.
Johannes remains at large.
