The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) announced that plans for the continuation of the construction of a new training facility in the south of the island are underway.
The facility will be used for training in Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting as well as other key areas of emergency operations.
The project was said to commence in 2019 and was funded by Firefighters Without Borders based out of Canada. The organization also donated equipment for the project.
The Firefighters Without Borders says they remain committed to working with the Saint Lucia Fire Service to see the completion of the project.
