Emergency personnel responded to a distress call at approximately 12:17 am Wednesday morning.
It was reported several boats had caught fire at the boatyard located on Marina Street, Gros Islet.
The Babonneau Fire Service along with The Fire service headquarters responded and found five boats engulfed in flames.
The responders said given the nature of the materials along with the fuel stored on the boats, the fire was able to spread rapidly causing a total of fourteen vessels to be damaged before being successfully controlled.
No persons were reportedly injured.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
