On Thursday, April 27th, 2022 officers attached to the Major Crime Unit arrested and charged twenty-three-year-old Nicholas Jardel Joseph Alia’s Nick of Vieux Fort for the murder of Rufus Stephen Alia’s Bricko.
A report of a shooting was made to the emergency personnel on Thursday, March 9th, 2023 at approximately 4:45 pm.
It was reported that sixty-one-year-old Rufus Stephen of Brucville, Vieux Fort had sustained gunshot wounds.
He was transported to the St. Jude Hospital via ambulance where he was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
