On Tuesday April 11th, 2023 the Constituency Development Program (CDP) received an XCD 18.5 Million Dollar injection from Taiwan.
Peter Chia-Yen Chen the Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) presented the funds to the cabinet of ministers and invited guests.
“We are honored to be part of this vital development project with the Saint Lucian Government.” the ambassador stated at the ceremony.
Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre assured all seventeen members of parliament will receive an equitable share of CDP funds.
The Constituency Development Program serves as a means for constituency reps to be provided with resources to aid in community development.
