On Monday 20th, 2023 Prime Minister, Hon. Phillip J Pierre announced that increased resources for The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force have been made available.
He says over the weekend the police force acquired three new vehicles and body armor.
“We’ve increased the resources for the police this weekend, this weekend they have three new vehicles, they have body armor… they got one hundred and fifty vests. They’re going to be getting some more vehicles, the scanners are coming, I understand they will be here next week, we also have some drones that will be here next week.” he says.
The minister says it is a work in progress and he intends to make the resources available within the abilities of the government.
“It is a work In progress and we fighting, I can tell you as far as the government is concerned there is absolutely no tolerance towards any sort of lawlessness.”
