Information reaching iReport St Lucia is that officers attached to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force’s Drug Unit intercepted an effort to smuggle quantities of illegal substances into the country on February 20th.
The package, which reportedly was inbound from the United States, contained cannabis, cannabis resin (hashish) and molly pills. According to an anonymous source who spoke with iReport, the drugs were hidden inside foodstuff containers like peanut butter jars.
Law enforcement is currently investigating the matter with a view of bringing all those involved to justice.
