The Daren Sammy Cricket Ground (DSCG) is one of twelve venues hosting the ongoing Cricket West Indies (CWI) 2025 Regional Four Day tournament. Eight teams are competing for the prestigious Headley Weekes trophy, which comes with an impressive prize of US$250,000 for the champion team.
On Tuesday, February 4, Chief Curator at the DSCG, Ken Crafton, and his team were preparing the highly-rated pitch in the region to ensure its quality for the matches.
Saint Lucia will host two regional matches. Cricket fans attending these matches will witness a higher level of consistency in the quality of the pitch.
The home team, the Windward Island Volcanoes, will play their 4th Round Fixture from March 5 to 8 against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes. They will also play their 6th Round Fixture from April 2 to 5 against Barbados.
