A twenty-nine-year-old Saint Lucian male was arrested for shooting and killing two people, while leaving three others injured on Thursday, June 15th, 2023 in Fort-de-France, Martinique.
The incident reportedly occurred in a popular district, Dillon, Fort-de-France at Léona Gabriel snack bar.
The two deceased victims, aged twenty-eight and forty-three were said to be known to the police.
“The defendant, currently still in police custody, is a citizen of Saint Lucian nationality born in 1994” declared the Martinique public prosecutor, Clarisse Taron, during a press conference held Wednesday, June 28th, 2023.
